    Lightbulb DL/UA/AS - SFO Connection

    Hi all,

I'm a new forum member who hasn't traveled non-rev interline in the U.S for quite a few years. I'm flying Aer Lingus DUB-SFO next week and want to connect to SEA. The AS, DL & UA myidtravel tickets all appear to indicate that I might be able to check in on-line or at a kiosk when I get to SFO. I had assumed I would have to go to a desk, as that's what I had to do last time. If anyone would be inclined to give me a quick refresher on how non-rev works in the US these days, I'd be very grateful. I need to get to SEA asap, so anything that might speed up my connection would be helpful.

Apologies if this isn't the appropriate location forum for this query.

    Thanks!

Welcome aboard risteardo there’s a seat for you right down front.
I’m going to tweak your thread title a little, I certainly don’t want you wandering around SFO looking for the right line.
BTW, that EI, DUB/SFO non-stop just started didn’t it?

Welcome...Clear customs, then head to the DL counter to check loads . Then book.

For DL & UA, you should be able to do online check in. Never nonrevved on AS so not sure if it is possible to OLCI on them.

Thanks all for the info, so it should be counter check-in no matter which airline. I got check-in prompts this morning from the AS and DL apps, but I assume that'd be a standby check in. Won't do anything until I arrive in SFO anyway.

@ddagencylv, one of the best things about flying to the US from DUB is that customs and border controls are cleared pre-departure in Dublin, so I arrive in SFO as a domestic pax. Will hopefully give me a bit more connection time in SFO.

@Mig, yes, the DUB-SFO route restarted last year, 3 or 4 days a week, and was a huge success, so it's now daily. DUB-LAX restarting, next month I think, after several years abeyance.

    Cheers!

Yes I am aware of the pre cleared process from DUB. I didn't see your initial origin.
