    Exclamation COVID-19 Impact

Due to a reduction in travel demand UA has announced that it will ground a number of it's planes and reduce pax capacity 20% on international and 10% on U.S. routes in April. UA will also freeze hiring through June 30 and offer employees voluntary unpaid leave.

JetBlue has announced it also plans to reduce capacity by an "initial 5%" in the near term" B6 is also looking at "including reducing hiring for both frontline and support center positions, considering voluntary time off programs as appropriate, and limiting non-essential spending."

Alaska has offered their fee free change/cancel (depending on your ticket) which allows either a change or getting a credit certificate without fee for bookings made through 31MAR and for travel this year and a bit beyond. We are actually offering massive OT right now to deal with the call volume - we can't keep up - so no offers of time off at this point. No capacity changes announced to date. Hopefully the future bookings will come in with this guarantee and it won't affect us long term.

I truly hope the A380 grounding is "temporary" and not permanent! Way more business seats to roll the dice on.
