Trans-con in August
Hi all,
I've been pretty successful on my short flights (LAS-TUS-LAS) over the past months, but considering a jaunt over to NYC (from LAS) in August.
I can only non-rev with WN and VX and just wonder if August is a particularly busy month for travel. Are red-eye flights typically harder to get a seat on? Is MDW a more difficult airport to transit through than anywhere else?

Completely depends upon the days you want to travel. If you have an idea, I can check loads. FWIW, we (SWA) don't have red-eyes.
MDW is typically easier than LAS to get in and out, but it always goes back to when you are going.

Yes, the red-eye would be with VX.
With WN, a late connection (either 3500, 1030 or 1179) from LAS through MDW and then onto EWR the next morning. Thought out on Thurs 21 or Fri 22nd Aug and returning Sun 24 or Mon 25 any flight. :-)
