    Default Reasonably priced Waikiki hotels?

    Hi,

Anyone have any recommendations for some reasonably priced accommodation in Honolulu for a few days or week in November? Thanks

If you can score a stay in OHANA EAST hotel at Waikiki Beach for 99 bucks, I'd take it. Last time I went through there, I couldn't score that price. I went in March of 2013 and stayed just down the street from there but at 140 bucks and nothing like the Ohana East. It's just darned expensive any way you cut it to stay around Waikiki. Years ago, like in 1998 or so, I saw a lot of signs for rooms to stay but off the beaten path, there are a lot of condo's and some were going for like 38 bucks per night. Probably more like apartments or something. Don't know if you'll find those anymore.

Thanks, I've just had a look and can get the Ohana East for $138.00 per night which is a LOT cheaper than most of the other hotels I have been looking at. Only thing is there are some reviews that they are doing renovation/building work next door & could be quite noisy (when they start at 5.30am)

The location there is great. Is that 138 bucks with the airline discount? It's only like a block or two from the beach. I liked it. It was right next to a THAI restaurant not bad at all. And a sports bar on the other side. Lots of ABC stores around. You can buy food there and take it to your hotel room. Lots of people do this there. Like a min-store and beer, t-shirts, souvenirs. They have an OHANA WEST also, but don't know much about it.

Hey, I was just playin around with booking dot com and noticed Aqua Waikiki Wave hotel on KOHIO street. Not a bad area. I stayed in a hotel up the street from there, in fact, I saw the hotel from the street. Not a bad area, and walking distance actually to OHANA EAST and walking distance to the beaches. I see they were pricing starting at 119 per night. Here is a link, good luck.

Booking.com: Hotel Aqua Waikiki Wave - Honolulu, USA

Me too - can't wait to get there! Thanks for the booking.com link.....must be going on the wrong dates as prices start from $168.00 pn. Hawaii certainly doesn't seem to be a real cheap place to stay! Last time I got some good interline discounts & upgrades but sadly not this time. However have chosen a couple of hotels so all set to go.

Very good. Yes, Hawaii at Waikiki is very expensive. But its the place to be if you're just going by there for a few days.
