Default DR Back Open for Business!!

The Dominican Republic ministry of tourism (MITUR) has announced that the country will be ready to receive international visitors from July 1st.
This is in line with the estimated date for the start of phase four of the de-escalation process of the measures announced by the high-level commission for the prevention and control of the coronavirus.
“The Dominican tourism industry is ready to start receiving visitors from July 1st in a responsible manner and complying with the recommendations of national and international organisations on hygiene, disinfection and social distancing,” said the minister of tourism, Francisco Javier García.
“From the moment visitors arrive in our country, they will find that the measures implemented guarantee a safe and pleasant experience so that they can enjoy the attractions that have made us the main tourist destination in the Caribbean,” he added.

Aww yeah! Hopefully those pesky seat caps will also go away soon.

Yeah - how does one go about calculating loads with a random variable

60% premium cap, 50% econ. So if say a MD holds 110 in the back, 55 is the cutoff capacity. This is DL policy. It is likely that the middle seat vacancy will go away once mandatory mask goes into effect. I heard AS is adding EMB 175 into the fleet so no middle. 2x2.

Oh wow I didn't know DL was 50%, that's super low! Here I thought UA 70% cap was too much. I believe AA is 85%? WN has middle seat blocked till 9/30, I haven't done the math for that one yet.

Yeah, I’m looking at 55% of schedule, a pax & non-rev cap, blocked middle seats, a connection, (DFW) is backup and a D3 that doesn’t like to drive at night- trust me I got a negative percentage.

Yes, looks like AA is 85% based on a random sampling of flights. Couldn't find it anywhere on jetnet. Contemplated a quick weekend getaway last weekend but ended up staying put and would have not gotten on in the end.

I guess this means you won’t be reviewing the new AA digs at LGA

Will still have to factor in those blocked seats near FA’s jump seats ....I’ll think about it during my walk to the kitchen - I’ll take the long way
