I was just wondering if there are any non-revvers to India, say from the US or Europe. I zed once or twice a year to India from the US and usually connect in Europe. It's always a fun experience and sometimes quite an adventure if you happen to travel during the busy holiday seasons.
I just wanted to learn about other people's experiences and may even try to find out new ways to get to India from the US.
PS: I am glad to see that this forum is getting active. Some members have been quite helpful in getting me the load info.

I wouldn't go near India nor KARACHI, nor Bangladesh, nor Baghdad, nor Islamabad, nor Timbuktu with a ten foot pole. Make that a twenty foot pole. India, because everyone would be trying to take my beer, my shirt, my change and my hat. The latter because aint no drinking beer or alchohol in those worlds. Been there, and a done that.

Actually, India is a FABULOUS place to visit! I have been many times. In fact, I use to live there. We are nonreving it for the first time this Sunday. I have paid full fares in the past. We are connecting via AMS on a ZED fare with KLM. I'll try to remember to post how that trip goes. Lots of wonderful things to see and the people are absolutely wonderful in India!!

I traveled Non-Rev to India last month. There were two of us. We used AA, 9W and LH using ZED tickets. The loads were tight on AA but LH on return was wide open. I know December is peak season for travel to India but it worked out very well for us.
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I just got back from India 10 days ago. It's a very good place to visit. I nonreved on our own flight 292. My suggestion for someone who might be looking to nonrev to India in december or January is that get a lot of back ups. Other than that, once you are there, please remember you are in a third world country with a population over a billion people so there will be some hiccups. It's a good place otherwise.
