ZED to ATH fm FRA/ZED fm CAI to FRA

Tvling ZED fm FRA to ATH on 24 Oct 07 to board a Seabourn cruise on 27 Oct 07 ending up on in Alexandria on 3 Nov 07 to lv frm CAI to FRA on ZED...have never flown ZED before...leaving fm SMF thru DFW to FRA and eventually rtn. Any suggestions from ANYONE that has taken this rt would be appreciated along w/suggestions on backup; hotels in FRA, ATH, CAI; alternatives; what to do ; what not to do, etc...we are a blond leading the blind... :pls help with advice; concerns, etc...thanks in advance...

OK .. apart from the above ...

Looks like FRA-ATH should be OK .. availability shows lots of seats ...
CAI-FRA looks to be the problem area ... the flights look very busy on 3rd and 4th
When do you plan to travel CAI-FRA and is it on a direct service ??
Might be worth looking at CAI-MXP-FRA as a back-up

As for hotels .. check out the ACCOR chain as they have good airline discounts and several hotels in Egypt ( as well as FRA and ATH )

thanks for the help and advice...we were really worried about getting out of CAI....any other suggestions are so appreciated....

Yes,,,we hoped to be at CAI by noon and be able to catch a ZED flight direct to FRA; however, I am very open to what will get us out of CAI on 3 Nov...please give us any suggestions for alternatives you think will work...
