Carry on luggage restrictions

We are flying ATL-CDG on Delta as employee then transiting with a zed e-ticket to AF CDG-EVN. We are wondering if our carry-on luggage restrictions are the same on each portion of our travel since we originated from the USA? I think we tend to have slightly bigger and slightly heavier weight/size allowances. Is there any "grace" with the size/weight of the carry-on luggage in our case? Hope that makes sense. We are just hoping to be able to travel with our one carry-on each for our 2 week trip. :-)
