Huh... I'm shocked they didn't have that route in the first place. PDX is large enough that you'd expect that would be a given, almost like ORD-SEA.
I though United, American and Aer Lingus all do a nonstop out of ORD.

Yeah, Ireland may have been a bigger place to fly into during the days when planes just didn't have the range, but not so much anymore. Check their wikipedia page to get more destinations. This works for most airports, though you may have some direct (one-stop) flights show up on the list, so double-check to be sure.
