Chances of making it?
Hi everyone. New here. Just a quick question. I am currently located in Kodiak, AK and would love to travel home to Tulsa, OK. I have two children that would be accompanying me. We would all be flying on an American Airlines D3 pass once we get to Anchorage. We haven't flown stand by, let alone on such a low pass in ages. So my question is should this even be attempted? Would we run into alot of overnights in airports from Anchorage to Tulsa? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

D3 travel is always difficult even more if you are 3 pax and cannot split.

Also worth pointing out, AA only flies to ANC seasonally. Generally speaking, ANC is very difficult during its high season, and if the airline doesn't have any flights in the low season, you may be out of luck.

Welcome aboard JW. I have to go along with Zedman and Spongebue, non-reving with kids is challenging enough, add to that you're D3's and would have to connect through ORD and I would advise saving the passes for another time.
