Hi! I'm working for LH and will be down under in couple of weeks time. Also planing to fly from SYD to NAN and back. Can anybody tell me if I can use a ID90 issued on QF for this flight (as this segment is a QF codeshare operated by FJ...)? Or will I get any problems when using a QF ID90 at check in with FJ?
Wanted to buy this ticket today and was told as LH has no ID agreement with FJ I can not take this flight?? Not sure if this is correct...

Markus,
I think it very possible that you will have problems. Staff travel tickets must be issued based on the agreement with the operating carrier ( in this case FJ ). You could try going via AKL on Air New Zealand providing you have an agreement with them ( they fly the route as well as code-sharing ).

Hi Britski,
thanks for info. I was also contacting FJ directly, they said the same :-(
I was checking NZ, but they have bad connections for the date i want to travel and they don't accept my travel partner for ID travel...
Well, so I have to think about another destination in the pacific area...

Hi,
Just a question.
Can anyone give me a rough estimate for ID90 Airfare rates say from SYD-LAX
Just interested

According to our (LH) System we would pay for a o/w in Y/Cl around 77 EUR incl. Taxes if issued on UA

normally part time employees are not eligable for ID travel. When you work for LH your are entitled for ID travel after 6 month full time working...

http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifHi Marcus, have you thought of flying somewhere else in Australia - if you are after warm weather maybe the Sunshine Coast or maybe up to Cairns?
-
Markus,
I suspect that LH probably has a ZED agreement with Qantas. This gives fares based on mileage and so as SYD-LAX is 7500 miles it would equate to USD 85 ( or approx EUR 66 ) excluding taxes. My guess is that your fare on UA would be the cheapest being part of the STAR group.

Hi Vicky,
yes, thinking of flying to Queensland now instead of Fiji. Probably Cairns, although I've been there before. But I need some sun!!! http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Britsky,
think this is correct :-)
Just had a look: Issued on QF it would cost me 71 EUR plus 55,42 Tax

http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifHi Markus, Its a pity you can't get to Fiji although there are lots of great places in Australia! I'd be over to Fiji quite often I think except unfortunately Qantas doesn't fly there anymore (we're Qantas staff and it costs twice as much to go on Air Pacific). There are lots of island resorts on the Barrier Reef or if you like a quieter sort of holiday Magnetic Island off Townsville is really nice. We have driven from Cairns to Townsville which is a really pretty drive and stayed at Mission Beach. Have you been to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast? It is a really great holiday place with lots of restaurants, the beach, river, National Park yet no high rise buildings - Noosaville (on the river) is one of my favourite places.

http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gifJust seen the news tonight - there is a crocodile around one of the beaches at Cairns - is also box jellyfish season - WOULDN'T RECOMMEND SWIMMING THERE THIS TIME OF YEAR except in the resort pool!
