hey greetings from Vancouver. First time on the site and thought I'd solicite some advice.
The Mrs and our 8 mos old are trying to get to Thailand standby on Northwest. It's a difficult venture and missing our connection in NRT is likely. Now that we are with child I can't get away with crashing in the airport.
Can anyone advise of any crew discount hotels that aren't going to break the bank for a couple nights that are easy from the airport?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Ferndale,
I have lived in Japan for several years and can tell you that the Holiday Inn Tobu Narita offers most of the time the best airline rates at Narita. Rooms start as low as 4000 yen per night, which is about $40. Also you will get a 20% discount with your airline ID at the buffet restaurant, which is very good.
Also you may want to check the ANA seniku hotel Narita and Hilton narita as they also may offer some special airline rates.

You've let the best kept secret of UA's NRT based crews know of.. You'll find alot of airline employees family members at this hotel as they extend airline rates to "family related" guests.. but even at their 14-day advance purchase rates of 5,500 yen (near $US50) it's a fraction, and I mean a fraction of what a downtown Tokyo hotel will run you and it's a rather nice place with typical Japanese service level standards.
Cheers!
