Any Air New Zealand employees that can help??

Hey there...just wondering if there are any Air New Zealand employees on this site that can help me keep track of seat availability for an upcoming trip. As a follow up to a previous post....currently planning on the LAX-AKL-LAX leaving US March 24 and returning March 31.

Looks like two flights per day each way. I use a paid online service to give me an idea of seat availability, but it isn't always reliable and can't track non-revs listed for a flight. I know I can call, but I want to avoid harrassing the reservations agents who are busy helping other customers. Any and all help would be appreciated.

QF also have a flight a day each way.... i know you have an agreement with them but maybe NZ is better rate though. Just thought i&#39;d let you know.

Thanks for the info about Qantas...while my airline does have an agreement with them, I currently have a prize letter on Air NZ that I would prefer to use. Also, my airline has a better agreement (Zed low) with AA, and they codeshare on the Qantas flights...is that something I can use as a backup?

Pretty sure you have to get ticketed by the actual operating carrier... so you would need a QF ZED rather than an AA ZED. Check this with your pass bureau though (talk to Corey... i was an intern at SWA with her, she&#39;s pretty helpful).

Hey Mark,

Actually the AA/WN agreement is ZED Medium. As Nick points out, you must ticket using the conditions of the operating airline. The AA codeshare flights to Australia/New Zealand are operated by QF, so your agreement with QF would apply.

Thanks for the info about the Qantas flight, hopefully I won&#39;t have to use it. I&#39;ve used idtraveller.com for a few years to keep track of international airline flight loads without having to bug the airline rez agents all the time. I find it to be mostly accurate.

But again, if there is anyone who can keep an eye on the NZ flights, it would be greatly appreciated.
