Shanghai Lull or...

Sleepless in Seattle. Hanging out at the gate when 4 striper comes in from the jetway. Since I know it isn't my husband, it has to be his # 2 captain, so I introduce myself. He steers me to his fiance and gives us bad news about wt/temps for flight. UGH. Calls back and forth, then they try child weights--there is a huge team of kids on board but powers that be aren't buying it. 800 pounds of bags come off and the 9 empty seats in biz go to Shanghai that way...Oh, well, it IS over 100 degrees there...and thunderstorms are popping up every day...sleep wou;d be nice. Think I'll try the quiet space loungers in the skyclub for afew hours--not as good as a flatbed on the 76W but I only have 7 total hours to kill until my redeye home. And--several first class seats to CVG on 75 and no upgrades [so far]...to be continued.
