I'm hoping to find a recommendation for a good, economical, kid-friendly all-inclusive. We never do the resort thing and usually do a lot of planning but don't have the time or energy this time. We just want to go where the kids will have fun and we don't have to worry about meal preparation or choices.
"Economical" is key. We need a really good deal!
Kids are 8 and 11.
TIA for any help!

Chris,
Not too sure about the kids facilities ( as not got any ) but if you want a reasonable priced All-Inclusive you could try the Jolly Beach Resort in Antigua. Its not flash like some of the resorts and has usual buffet style breakfasts and dinners however you can use the restuarants on site generally at no extra charge. It is on a nice quiet bay and if you want to go into the town you can catch the local minibusses ( an experience in itself ). We've paid between USD 60-80 pppnt before.

Hi Chris. Where did you eventually stay in ANU? I am looking for similar things althou my son is a bit older than your kids as he's 16. We normally vacation as a family with his sister but she's off to Uni so won't be with us so he needs lots to do so that he doesn't miss her!! I have got a good deal at the Jolly Beach but some reviews I've read about the hotel have been a bit dodgy. Any advice greatly appreciated. Regards Gwen

We ended up in the Divi Aruba. They have several properties and are very nonrev friendly with listings in ASU all the time but I'm sure you can get their specials by calling directly. Though it wasn't ultra luxury, we found it to be more than adequate for us. I liked the all-inclusive deal for the family. The buffet was good but you can also make reservations for the nicer restaurant or eat pizza at one of the bars. When we were there, kids were free. It also included a rock climbing wall, kayaks, windsurfing. We also had access to the neighboring Divi Tamarind. When I was over there I noticed several teens in the lobby playing pool (2 or 3 tables) and they had an arcade too. There is a nice internet access room with several PCs - rates are real reasonable for high speed access. I got right on DLNet to check our return flight.
You reminded me - I need to do a full trip report!
