Hi,
I flew a couple of times with buddy passes, but the friend of mine who worked with Delta has left the company. I had a few scary moments nearly getting stranded but it was a lot cheaper.
Can anyone help me out - I want to buy another one for travel next year. Can anyone sell me one?
Thanks a lot

I'm not with Delta but I do know that every airline has the same rules. If an employee sells a buddy type pass they can be fired. In today's climate, it really isn't worth the risk. If you find takers, don't publicize it on this board so as not to put their job in jeopardy.

I don't think that is totally correct. You can collect the fare of a buddy pass. However one may not make a profit from it. You can also put their credit card number to be charged by the airline. (At least this is how my airline does it.)

Well, there should not be any problem. As long as you and the person who is selling the companion privileges to you and nobody makes a specific complaint there is no way anybody can prove that there was any profit made. But you got to maintain your stand as does the employee giving you the companion traveller benefits
