I heard it was DGS employees.................
I saw some cleared on Deltanet and they were listed as S3.
well shoot--that doesn't help cuz I saw some cleared as S3C.
arghhhhhhhhhhhh
Bet someone else will chime in before I make myself nuts looking for DS clears on random flt searches!
Please please....
Look at 2626 today from ATL to SLC.
Also 2141 from CVG to ATL.
The three DS are all S3 on those flights.
I asked a Skyclub Agent right now and he did not know.
Is Delta Global Services the same thing as Regional Elite? I know that one is RS on DLNet. It looks like IATA's code for DS is EasyJet Switzerland but I doubt there are any interline benefits there.
DS Delta Global their the ones that clean the planes, lavs etc they fly S3C on mainline Delta
Yes, DGS are the ones that do ramp/lavs/cabin cleaning, etc for 1/3 the paycheck of mainline. The employees travel S3C, the managers travel S3.
btw, Vulidlela, I see that million mile mark is coming up quick! Where's the lucky flight??
thanks for the confirmation about S3C. I didn't want to waste an S2 with family of 5 passriders listed DS to contend with on seniority. My niece will likely be in coach for that leg and being the loving Aunt I am, I will wave to her as she scoots down the aisle to economy....(yeah, it's true)
oh yeah, and the look on your face.......priceless. http://bestsmileys.com/lol/6.gif
several years ago, I flew on my fiance's pass (meaning I paid yield fare) CVG to JAX. My brother and i his wife went on last-min rev fare...SIL walked past me and made this silly pff pff sound and I just chortled (she is one FUNNY woman!) I offered to buy them a bloody mary (8am flt) but no takers....
Kind of funny, I just saw this one. I've been a bit busy lately and haven't been on here much.
Anyway, I just might hit 300K this year. Flew 36K this week. I've actually never in my life flown less mileage than the prior year. Going to be hard to top this year, but we'll see
I should hit the big million sometime Feb-Apr
From the east coast, across the pacific, back to the states to bounce around 10 of them, over to the middle east, and back to the east coast.
Wow!!!!!
Since November 1 of last year, I have one roundtrip to MSP to see a football game.
I am just not motivated to travel much anymore.
My best year was 129,000 miles flown.
Have you gotten tired of it?
When I was an F/A, I became so tired of flying.
I only got 291488 last year..
I'm not tired of it in general, but some days get pretty long. I am headed south of the equator this week, so that should be cool.
That million miles is coming up soon
DGS supervisors and above fly at S3, everyone else fly at S3C, so you never quite know if it's 3 or 3C when you see a DS
Thanks--I guess that's a good thing to know except it just adds one more anxiety factor... until the list shows check-in priority. I think you're the first DS I've seen here--welcome. I see the jfk--one of my usual haunts--for now.
I get to spend time there this wkend. Can't wait until the new terminal is complete!
I am DGS as well, I am a cross-trained agent in CAE, we are contracted out as United agents, but no UA flight benefits. The fun part here is out of our airport it's mainline DL above the wing for DL, DGS below wing, UA (and CO pre-merger) are DGS and we are an ASA (sorry, XE now, too many mergers) maintenance base, so it's really hard to get out, as only AA and US are not on DL flight benefits. To top things off, if it's an XE plane, they get priority over DL mainline, and DGS flies out as S4 instead of S3C. I'm not complaining though, it just takes more advance planning. :)
Man.. that post just made my head spin :P
She lost me at the second merger ;)
Isnt aviation fun??
