Curious if anyone has experience with CUN in October? A good month for NRSA? S3B
what parameters? one pax, family, weekday/wkend? coz as option? or just CUN?
I'm sure you're aware but hurricane season runs thru Nov for the Yucutan Peninsula where CUN is, most of the Caribbean and Central America so keep an eye on the weather before you go and while you are there. That said, I've been to CUN in Oct. Not as crowded as spring break and no issues non-revving on AA.
Arrive on a Thursday 3rd, Depart Sunday 6th. Two.
SHould be pretty easy w/DTW or MSP. I think CVG usually only runs Sat/Sun nonstops. ATL has so many' it's worth checking # but they have tendency to list last-minute. Returns on Sun can be iffy--start early.
Went twice in Oct. 1st time no prob. 2nd, had to ZED on Aeromexico via MEX. Flight every hour, no sweat.
My parents do this every year May and Sept or Oct.
Never a problem CUN --> ATL, always hard to get from ATL --> MSP.
I just got back and made the 0800 flight but sat in ATL until 0850 that night on a Thursday.
Considering ATL --> DTW --> MSP or ATL --> MSI --> MSP next time.
Huh, I didn't know that Delta flew from Masalembo, Indonesia to MSP or ATL! Sounds inconvenient, though...
Sorry.
MCI not MSI.
Years (and years ago) when I worked for Western Airlines - the best route to Hawaii with a guaranteed seat was the ice and fire route MSP - SLC - ANC (Yes Anchorage not a misprint) - HNL. Added a few extra hours to the total time but the time was well spent flying instead of waiting for the standby list to clear with mixed results !
Haha, I think my "worst" routings were either getting to HNL one trip, EAU-ORD-SAN-LAX(overnight)-OGG-HNL, or maybe getting out of HNL that same trip, HNL-ORD-PDX-EUG. BUt hey, we made it!
R.M., where in MSP are you from? I'm a Bloomington native myself, and EAU (where I worked for a while) isn't too far away!.
