Wouldn't S3B1 be higher than S3CR? Makes no sense; it's higher, not lower. Even Comair get retiree designation S3CR. I can use an S2 on Gojet but not on Endeavor on the same route. Go figger!
Maybe it has something to do with pass travel negotiations between the mainline and regional carriers? Maybe one of those quirks worked its way through.
S3B1 would be better but I would appreciate S3CR at least it beats being co-mingled with BP riders as some of the BP riders have never worked for an airline let alone retire from Delta Connection. Guess it must be the way the contract is written for Expressjet/ASA and DL mainline.
Does anyone have a list of what mainline employees fly as with the connection carriers? I know as a DL retireee we fly Delta as S3B and things like Skywest as S3CR, but on something like Compass we are still S3B...gets very confusing...
May have something to do with the fractional ownership of the commuter/regional carrier. I believe Delta does not have any fractional ownership in SkyWest - but
as regards Compass or Endeavor there may be such an interest.
Count your blessings if you can travel S3B - No matter how many years of seniority you have the new hire with one day on the job trumps that which makes you feel real good !
Such is the way the Delta travel benefits are ! Remember that at one time or another when you were active/working you trumped retired seniority and offline carriers!
I copied and pasted the Airport Standby List of standby codes before and posted it here but subsequently deleted it because of Delta protocol forbidding publication.
That being noted you can see it for yourself by logging into DeltaNet - TravelNet and select a flight that is leaving in the next few hours - Display the Airport Standby List
- Click on any of the blue highlighted standby codes of anyone on the list - and the full list of codes will be displayed in priority order from revenue to no-rev.
Note the spread from S1 to S4D !
Hope this helps explain the offline Regional/Commuter relationship with Delta !

All the terms of pass travel are available, as RM mentioned. Ask your pass travel dept if you don't have access to travelnet. The info is THERE. We can't post here for obvious reasons (as also mentioned above). Different carriers may have specific terms w/mainline, for various reasons. Parents or non/deps may be different from employees based on each airline's criteria.
I suggest you actually read each priority category closely. It can be confusing if you don't pay attention to what each says--as in OO, DL, G7, 9E, etc and who gets what place on whose totem pole. I have read and re-read them so many times, but even I can't recall every one (yes, I know, I am "humbling" myself! haha--don't get used to it!)
BTW--mainline employees can't use high priority on certain carriers; even if we check in w/ S2, we are only allowed S3. Go figger!

You could take a paper hard copy with you traveling to help your planning but it is not to be passed around

If you are into all that fancy digital electronic stuff - while you are waiting for your seat to clear on a flight
log in and sort of look over the Gate Agents shoulder with your access to the Airport Standby List (ASL) and
watch the progress as standbys are upgraded and assigned seats. Perhaps there is an APT for that !?
Be smart and savvy - know what is going on - be ahead of the game !
Unless it's figurative, hovering at the gate or looking over GA shoulder is not a good idea--some of them BITE!
