I understand the numerical order, but what the heck is S5 on DL? It's not on the priority list. How odd.
Only S5 I know of is the airline code for Shuttle America.
S5 was shown w/priorities for other riders, below S4 pax on airport standby list
hmmmmm.....maybe for the new Virgin deal?
Are Virgin staff S5?
Possibly--it's just weird that it isn't on the priority list at all. Perhaps time will tell?
curious, what is your new deal with Virgin? I heard some rumblings about it in another thread...
The deal with Virgin is we get to Nonrev minus intl taxes. Great for returns from LHR/ LGW. Aeromexico's deal will likely be similar but much more lucrative.
I would question the other airline company business as being S5 unless it was a frenemy airline.
In a reciprocal sense another partner airline business would or should rate about on a level just
under Delta's business S1 as say a S1C or D.
Logically a partner's in house business is important to the Sky Team operation.
Partner airline passes are generally one notch below the same class of Delta pass.
In searching ASL I was unable to come up with the S5 standby code - S4 was the last rung
on the standby clearance list.
The Standby List has not changed since 6/5/2014 and has some 40+ classifications.
S5 would be real bummer class clearing after Buddy passes !
Can NOT print the Standby Pass classification chart - "Delta's Rules" !
But if you have access to the Delta TravelNet site make a dummy listing for a next or same day flight
and then check the ASL for that fight - Click on any of the standby codes to see the list in full !
You could copy and save it on your computer but 'DO NOT' copy; print and/or post on the internet !
