Bon jour Xavier,
I am trying to plan a short notice trip to Marseille for early next month. I will be meeting friends there, but would like to know the best way to get from Paris to Marseilles and also, the cheapest way? Is flying a better option than the train? Also do you think it would be better to purchase a regular airline seat from Paris to Marseilles or non-rev?
Merci beaucoup!!

Bonjour,
Here are the multiple way to go to Marseille.
- By air: http://www.skyteam.com/FR/aboutSkyte...img_foto31.gif

* from Roissy Charles de Gaulle: Air France proposes 7 flights. Attention these flights are very often complete because they drain the connecting passengers from the long haul.

* From Orly Ouest: Air France proposes a shuttle service with until 20 flights by days, it's better to leave from Orly as NONREV.

From the railway station of Lyon: the FNRC proposes about twenty TGV connecting Paris in Marseille in approximately 3. 00. The same thing it is necessary to book for a long time in advance to be able to benefit from an good rate.

If you arrive from CDG and if you want to take the shuttle to Orly I advise you buses Air France.

Otherwise you have the possibility of taking the RER B ( fast subway) and the automatic subway. The whole sets approximately 1. 15 if everything is well.

If you have your dates I can look at loads and list you on our flights.
A bientôt
Xavier
Please, do not especially forget to sample a pastis in aperitif, the famous soup of fish and to end your meal by the delicious navettes in the flower of orange tree (an enjoyment!!!)
