Hi,
I am able to use some buddy passes from my friend who is a Delta employee. I was planning on going to London Sept. 1,2005, taking the Eurostar to Paris, and then again to Amsterdam, and flying from Amsterdam back to LAX on Sept. 10th sometime...
I am choosing Sept. since most Europeans take long holidays in August, and should be back. Is Sept. a busy season? I think it would be good - kids back in school, vacations over, weather not too bad.... Any other thoughts on taking this month?
I have read so much conflicting information on the "ease" of this. I realize that it is all very subjective on the time/day/destination, but I would think that LAX to LHR would be very easy? (big city to big city....) Am I kidding myself? http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
ANY advice is welcome. For me, the $1,000 savings for my husband and I would be worth reasonable inconvienence if we get stuck somewhere!!
Thanks!!!

Before you start to plan I'd check with your friend as to which airlines will accept those buddy passes you have as they are not accepted on all carriers.

Let say for arugments sake that I can only use them on Delta....
What would you say then? http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Delta only flys to London Gatwick (LGW), no flights to LHR. You would have to connect through Atlanta (ATL) or Cincinnatti (CVG). September should be a good time to go.....even mid to late August is OK as most europeans finish their holiday at the beginning of August and schools begin mid to late August. I nonreved to LGW mid August last year and Business class was WIDE open http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Enjoy!
