Hi, I want to non-rev to Europe in November from the US, for my husband's birthday. We generally travel around Nov 11th but it is Veteran's Day in the US on Nov 10th which is a holiday. Is the week of November 11th through November 18th a high travel time in Europe? The flights especially over the week-ends have been extremely booked on my airline, would it be better to travel on a Sunday or Monday and perhaps come back on a Thursday?
Now for my next question: How can I get a decent price at a hotel in London or Paris or Amsterdam? The best rates are miles from the city and I don't want to spend lots of time traveling back and forth to the hotel. But I can't afford $200 plus per night!!!!
Thanks

Hello,
I travel to Paris twice a year. While in Paris I stay in the 18th district (Montmarte area) a very charming neighborhood (Artisan section) and home of the Sacre Coeur. I am traveling this year in October and I usually stay at the Hotel Roma Sacre Coeur. I am paying about 85 USD a night for October so I imagine you could get it cheaper in November. You can check it out at www.parisby.com and type in the hotel name. Another option would be to check out www.vrbo.com this site has numerous apartments/flats for rent and very cheap. I have also used vrbo.com and rented flats in Paris many time but since I am only staying a few nights this time I will stay at the Hotel Roma Sacre Couer.
Enjoy
Brian

No. Summer is high season. Availability should be much better in November.
