ZED First Class possible on BA?

Have ZED tickets for two LHR-SEA. The flight we want to take back to SEA is getting pretty tight with only two seats remaining in Traveller. The only experience we have on British was the trip to LHR from SEA two weeks ago which was very nice in coach. Does BA ever put those using ZED tickets in an upgraded cabin if the Traveller section is full?

BA will normally upgrade standby staff into World Traveller Plus and Club if Traveller is full .. unfortunately you'll not get upgraded to First on a ZED ticket.
