Thinking about flying to Valencia, Spain for La Tomatina (http://www.latomatinatours.com/). It's the annual food fight in Bunol in which the streets run red with tomatoes. I've never been but have wanted to for a while. Because I waited until the last minute (which I always do), none of my regular friends can just drop everything and go to Spain in a week. Any of you cosmopolitan and adventurous nonrevs out there have time to come get messy with me next week? It'll be fun. Don't forget your goggles, white t-shirts and waterproof (or tomatoproof) cameras.

welcome, Eric. I can laready tell you'll have plenty to share and good nonrev tips--sounds like you travel more than I do!
I've seen the Valencia tomato festival on TV and it's a bit too gross for me! Many years ago I helped a produce co owner with "repack"--splitting up huge cases of tomatoes into restaurant orders etc. when lifting a crate off the pallet and bad tomato nasty fluid runs down the lab coat....oh ICK, I think I'll be sick just recalling the odor--worse than a rotten potato...
Have fun--I'm free this week but not that crazy (well, the jury is still out)

If it were a month later, I'd totally be in. I'll be in Seville studying abroad this fall. Otherwise, for now I'm just a former NW employee wishing he could nonrev again
