So ...um...I'm working on Back-Up plan "D" and I ask my pass bureau for an ID90 fare quote. I'm pretty explicit on the form and only show one date....and OW
This comes back:
Here is the price on DL:
WPQY06/ID90«
BASE FARE TAXES TOTAL
1- USD209.74 31.26XT USD241.00ADT
XT 6.26US 6.20ZP 13.80US 5.00AY
209.74 31.26 241.00TTL
ADT-01 Y06/ID90
ANC DL SLC104.87Y06/ID90 DL ANC104.87Y06/ID90 209.74 END
ZPANCSLC
ELECTRONIC TICKETING ELIGIBLE
*A«
NO NAMES
1 DL 558Y 05SEP S ANCSLC SS1 905A 339P /E
2 DL 521Y 15SEP W SLCANC SS1 1130A 221P /E
PHX.PHX80SI 1600/31AUG04
----------
The question is: Is this a OW quote a it appears in the upper portion, or a RT as it appears listed in the lower?
If RT, it does not seem reasonable to extrapolate that OW is 120.50 w/taxes...wouldn't a OW be higher?
This is the part that throws me:
ANC DL SLC104.87Y06/ID90 DL ANC104.87Y06/ID90 209.74 END
Opinions/answers?
TIA

I don't know DL specifically but from what I see this is the return fare ...for the bit you don't understand ..
ANC DL SLC104.87Y06/ID90 DL ANC104.87Y06/ID90 209.74 END
means in its parts ANC DL SLC104.87Y06/ID90 DL (boardpoint carrier offpoint fare-between-board-and-off-points ticket-category ) and then DL ANC104.87Y06/ID90 209.74 (carrier offpoint fare-between-board-and-off-points ticket-category and total-fare-for-the-full-routing ... note that the boardpoint is assumed to be the previous offpoint if not specified ).
The 31.26XT in the line 1- USD209.74 31.26XT USD241.00ADT is the sum of the extra taxes which are detailed in the line(s) XT 6.26US 6.20ZP 13.80US 5.00AY i.e. 6.26+6.20+13.80+5.00
Perhaps you where not as explicit as you thought you were or company policy is to always issue returns !!

Thank You! http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emotic...on_biggrin.gif
I was thinking just by virtue of price this was RT...and have asked clarifying questions of my pass bureau...as you say, perhaps the policy is to issue RT?
Larger problem at hand is what the OW fare would be if different...as I need to submit this on a payroll deduct form (not used, not deducted) ASAP

First, this is definitely a round trip. You can tell by looking at the taxes if nothing else. When the ay is 5.00 - two flights. When the zp is 6.20 - two flights. Plus, the us tax is showing 13.80, which is round trip over the water to anchorage. The one way fare should be half of that. Yes, the one way should be $120.50. That is base of 104.87/3.13us/3.10zp/6.90us/2.50ay totalling 120.50
I work at the change desk so I have those numbers down pat! http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emotic...on_biggrin.gif

Thank you so much also!
I think a very affordable back-up, as we both have to be to work on Monday.
However, my station manager looked at the bookings w/me today, and because there were still 35-40 open seats even w/the non-revs, on each leg...the censensus was that there was no way I wasn't gonna get a seat....
So I pleaded "What if there is a cancellation?" (HP only has 1 flight a day) ...me thinking that the next flight would surely oversell, even if it was 24 hours later...
Long story short, I guess there is too much paperwork to issue, possibly salary deduct, and then refund/return ...and w/me and my family flying 3 weekends a month, she refuses to issue the tickets in situations where it doesn't look "tight" ....lol, NOT!
We just faced this in YYC a few weeks ago, cancelled flight (delayed, went through an alternate city, aalmost no seats left).....and I really wanted a back-up....no time for the pass bureau, no co-operation from management....time to cross one's fingers http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

DNA,
Donna and Britski are on spot with their interpretations.
You also asked:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>wouldn't a OW be higher? <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
No. The Y06 is one way, full fare and your being charged the discounted rate off the Y06 in each direction. The portion that you do not use will be refundable. (DL Res for 11 years)

You said that "she refuses to issue the tickets in situations where it doesn't look "tight" ....lol, NOT!"
Does this mean that the pass bureau won't issue the ticket if it doesn't look tight. If so, I find this strange. Your pass bureau should issue what ever ID90's you request as long as they are within policy. From working in res myself to create the record, price, and issue (even for 3 people) should take no longer than 2 minutes. With DeltaMatic's ready keys it should take even less. Its really pretty simple.

I believe you, and thanks, but my Pass Bureau requires 5-7 business days unless you use Fed-X, still "days" not minutes http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif (and this sucks for the type of travel we do BTW.....I just asked in Anchorage (which seemed to be run at the North terminal by Delta) if there was anyway to get ID90's issued on the spot w/a rate quote...I got the typical "Huh?"
Long and short of it....flight was w8 restricted to 94 out of 124 seats going....we barely got on...and we came back "F" class http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (however, it is NOT fun traveling w/o a prophylatic ID90 back-up! )

They almost did, we got the last 2 seats because of the w8 restriction http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (30 non-revs listed, I know over 1/2 of them, (and it could have easily been us not seated), had a very long night) http://www.nonrev.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
