Hello,
Here at TAP we have several agreements for Business ZED tickets (LH, LO, LX, OS, SK, etc).
I'd like to know, for example, if I go to a counter and the the flight is not full in C class, if the gate agent will respect the class shown in the ticket and will put me in C class, or this may not always be the case?
I ask this because I've read in another forum that, in a few ocasions, some agents put all non-rev in Y class, even if the C class is not full and the person has a business Zed ticket.
I've never traveled in C class this way, so before I try I'd like to clarify this, if possible.
Thank you.
Best regards
Moisés Alves

For such a scenario to happen, what immediately comes to my mind is that the staff member may be inappropriately attired or perhaps insufficient catering in C class. I've also heard that some carriers are very strict about ID pax having themselves listed in advance for a flight and may refuse carriage for this reason even when there's enough room (a bit nit picky I find but that's another story). Otherwise I can't think of another reason to deny you a seat

A tip :
I always carry both C and Y.
If I am assigned a seat in Y class I ask the Agent to swap the coupons for my Y ticket. I've never had a problem with this. In fact, most just smile - even Handling Agents!
