My son and I will be ZED'ing over to the UK in late January and I was wondering if anyone knows of any proverbial secret handshake http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...DIR#>/wink.gif or any other tip that might give us the possibility of cabin upgrade on either BA or Virgin.

It's in the hand shake but not all of it. Here is what you do. You get your buddy pass and wait at the gate, and when they call your name, you thank the ticket lady and extend your hand to shake hers. You then rub your thumb on her index finger knuckle and pull her close towards you and whisper in her ear. "I'm in room 215 at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS" in Omaha." That'll get you a first class upgrade. Try it. It expecially works well with the old ladies on their way to using BOTOX.
