What is best the airline for OAL nonrevs?
I guess it depends on your benefits and system extent.
DELTA
Delta all the way!
Even before I was in the DL system, I was upgraded by DL more than half of the time I flew with them as an OAL nonrev.
Never upgraded by AS,CO,LH,JL,AY, and many others.
I'm gonna say Delta too. They lost my bag today (but later found it and the lady was really nice). Got upgraded on a Y ZED straight away, was great http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif
I have never non-revved on DL but it sounds like they take good care of OAL employees. But based on my experience, it has to be BA. Twice I got upgraded to Business class and many times to their WT+. The staff in London always try to get the best seats for non-revs, at least from my experience.
I get the Southwest benefits as an employee of Southwest so I voted for DL. I've heard that they're really good about upgrading OAL non revs to first or business. I think that's really awesome of them to do that.
My pick so far would have to be NW/DL. Yesterday my wife and I were suppose to be flying MNL-NGO-NRT-SEA. The NGO-NRT cancelled due to maintenance. So i asked if we could go to DTW instead.(that was the only other option). My passes for Y class and that would have been a lonnnnggg flight to DTW from NGO. When they gave us our boarding passes i saw they gave us first class. That 11 hour flight seemed so short.
So pleased that you had a great experience!
So in your opinion (that's to everyone) Do you think you get treated better nonrevving on another airline? Like i said i am still new to the Nonrev lingo so I am to assume OAL means "Other Airline".
Maybe I should try to fly on another airline when I go back to Thailand.
Oh BTW...
Happy New Year!!!
If you are a Mesaba spouse doesn't that mean you get DL benefits? Stick with DL... at least you get upgrades
ZED is French for coach http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...R#>/tongue.gif I agree with Nick ..Stick with your airline or air line as the case may be ...Higher boarding priority and biz class upgrades if the seat is available
Hi guys,
With DL, they put Mesaba near the bottom of the list as far as priority nonrev. I guess I really haven't flown Internationally yet with Delta. But I plan to soon.
Stay Safe.

I'd have to say WN. I know we don't have first class to upgrade you to, but I have never seen so many agents do so much to get every non-rev possible to their final destinations even when things get messy.
WN?? that's pretty interesting. I guess if nonrevs need to go to limited destinations...I watched every one of the "Airline" episodes and I think I 'll take my chances on any mainline carrier for standby.
Haha I think it's great if you work at WN, but not sure how great it would be as an OAL employee on a ZED?
CX suspended their ZED agreement with WN a while back so i'm not sure how it works, but have always been confused. Say you want to go LAXDAL, the flights will stop along the way (and which stops are not published), so LAXDAL could stop in ABQ or ELP for example. So if you got offloaded in these places i'd be confused with a ZED as which city pairs do you use? I mean sure a ZED is reasonably flexible but yeah... always been curious there
good point, Nick. at least most mainline carriers have related regional carriers to reach more destinations w/fewer tkt reissues
