How to purchase yield fare for non-depend child of Delta retiree

Howdy!
I'm a non-dependent of a NW/Delta retiree that is thrilled to have pass privileges back, but I can't figure out how to use them. I was given a card with my rider number (or whatever it is, I don't have it in front of me right now), and a phone number. I called the phone number to list for a flight, listed, and then pressed the prompt to pay for the yield fare. I was transferred to a person that was *not* happy to speak with me, insisted that I called the wrong number and that I need to do everything online. I've been to the website, but it requires a password which I do not have. My retiree parent after doing reservations for 20 years has zero interest in doing them now and I am not able to get any assistance from her.
Does anyone know how I can pay my yield fare and get my ticket?

by teaching your retired parent how to access travelnet and giving them your credit card to buy your yield fare tickets...does she fly nonrev at all?
(PS--send her chocolates and roses??)
you can't get a ticket any other way that I know--and the plastic card (is that the one you have?) is no longer being issued
