help please
hello,
i am fairly new to non-rev travel - i've been flying on buddy passes for about six months but recently my friend designated me his companion for this year (Delta Airlines). tragically he passed away right after giving me this designation. does anyone know what happens to my companion pass now? will it be valid for the balance of the employment year?
thank you -

I am very sorry for your loss. Your pass travel benefits expired when he passed away. Unless you were a live-in spouse/partner, you would have no survivor's rights.
Again, my condolences.

Thank you for your response, obviously i was hoping to hear different but felt like that might be the answer. I've done some digging myself and it looks like the section of the employee manual that covers this is HRPM 1018 – Delta Employee Travel Companion Program. can anyone post this section to the board so i can read it myself? i cannot find it online

can't be posted on here--against company policy. sorry. It would not matter anyway.
I have already told you unless you are the live-in domestic partner or spouse you do not have survivor benefits.
