Gah! Days like this make my head spin.
Turns out, they were rebooked, but from EWR, not ORD. They took the ORD-EWR flight still. That plane is expected to arrive 21 minutes before EWR-OSL departs. And I think we're still safe on our flight.
I see the BUEs made it.
All quiet on the Western front. That must mean that the SPONGE is on some long flight to somewhere.
Made it to OSL, along with the in-laws. Long day, terrifying at times with my FIL driving a stick shift in a strange country. But we made it, had a great time seeing the scenery, visiting the farm where my FIL's grandmother grew up, and having dinner with the current owners (we had talked with them before). Great people, and I had moose for the first time!
Had seats in J for a lovely 5 minutes. Then some rev pax bought them last-minute. At the same time, 2 nonrevs below us had to do a walk of shame from economy. One guy thought we arrived late and (according to my wife and brother-in-law) cursed us out a bit. I just described everything to the employee travel center. With all the hearsay and a little uncertainty of who it was, I think a firm talking-to would be appropriate. Sent an email to the ETC, will see if anything comes of that.
Time for bed! Going from Honefoss to Elverum tomorrow.
and.......describe the ladies over there. Watup?
Hah! Patience, my friend. I'm writing a journal now for this, which will eventually be turned into one hell of a trip report. But to answer your question for now, most stereotypes of Norwegians seem to be quite true. Lots of tall blondes :)
....I figured you'd be checking that stuff out you devil you.
