How to find discount traveling

Hello, I am new to the airline industry. I am a gate agent for Mesaba/Northwest. How do I go about to find discount hotels, rental cars, etc.... Are there websites to find these discounts?

Welcome! You can find links on this website, of course but you can also do car discounts by getting the discount code from your pass bureau. I don't know about NWA but AS also has a nice website set up with wyndham hotels which I use a lot. Check with your pass bureau and they'll be able to help you. As far as other hotels go, you'll quickly find out which chains offer you the best rates and I, personally, have found better luck calling the 800 number than the hotel directly. In the old days it was the other way around but everyone is so full these days, even hotels!

Holly, check the RADAR website. All the employee discounts -- online, OA and hotels -- are listed there.
The NWA pass bureau also has specials from time to time.
