LAX to KOA - any thoughts?

I am planning a trip to KOA end of March - still trying to decide on which carrier to take - took AA last year around the same time with no issues - this year their flights are looking a little tight - I am going to start in Chicago go to LAX spend the night and then hopefully go LAX to KOA - any suggestions? I am more than willing to utilize SAN,BUR,SNA,ONT even LAS,OAK or PHX - origin not important destination is....any thoughts

Check out Aloha. They have N/S flights from OAK & SNA to Kona. I went over to HNL for the probowl and noticed these flights were always booked the lowest out of all the Hawaii flights.

Plus...if you are WN emp. We get a pretty good deal.

I have had very little luck with non-revving inter-island in Hawaii due to Spring break. I have had even less luck at the end of that month! If you can make it to Honolulu or Mauii
perhaps a full-fare to the Big Island would be
the best back up...

I am an HP/US employee. HP just started new service from PHX-KOA, and PHX-LIH this month (March). Anyway, the flights are 3x weekly I believe, but so far the load factors for non-reving look very favorable being that we are brand new in these markets. So just call America West res. and ask about loads for the dates you want.
