Hi Debbie,My husband and I and 6 yr old are going to disney April 14th -18th.My relatives are staying at The Wilderness Lodge 350.00 a night. It is too pricey for us. Can you recommend a nearby hotel (not too far from them )that we could stay in that is good? I guess if we could keep it in the range of 150.00 a night or less. Thanks for your suggestions....ter

Hi Ter,
For Info ... as the Wilderness Lodge is in the Magic Kingdom area of Disneyworld the only places you will get that are really nearby will be other Disney hotels. Outside of that probably the nearest places will be on the US 192( also called Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway ). Most of the major chains ( Travelodge, Holiday Inn, Ramada ) have several locations along this drag. For a useful map of what on the US 192 and where it is relative to world drive have a look at the map index at http://www.kissimmee-us192.com/map/ushwy192mapindex.htm

I am assuming you are an airline employee...
If so, you can call (407) W-Disney and ask for an airline employee rate. Even if it is at one of the AllStar Resorts...
We paid $35 a night last year for the All Star Sports.
Good luck!

I highly recommend the Port Orleans French Quarter. I stayed there with my aunt in November and it was quiet, easily accessible by the bus system and the restaurant was generally close to empty. We were quite happy and I just got something from Dargal interline showing the rates to be less than $100/nt even in holiday travel periods! The nice thing about staying on property is that you not only get some extra time in certain parks on certain days but they pick you up from the airport (and take you back) as part of the hotel price!
