Hi everyone...
I am planning to fly to Vancouver this July from Spain, as I will have my sister there for a month.
I have been checking how to make it, and I have seen that Air Canada is opening the MAD-YYZ in June.
So my question is:
Is there any embargo applied for the new routes on AC? I have read that sometimes, when the route is new in some carriers, there are 6 or 12 month embargo for non-reving, to make it easy for the new station.
How are the flight loads for YYZ-YVR usually in July? are flights regularly overbooked???
Other way would be Spain-LHR-YVR on BA // Spain-CDG-YVR... and it seems that London would be better, as I am a oneWorld employee, and BA gives some priority for us... and at the evening there is a last flight LHR-SEA that would work as a back up...
But CDG would also fit me...
Someone that have already done it?
I know it is too soon, but I would like to plan my days off, as I have to request them...
Any recommendation, apart than listing on idtravel.ba.com, for new T5? Air Canada?
Thanks !!
ps: if anyone needs help and loads on IB... a pleasure to help, as always.

Hi, I do not work for AC but considering how crazy the taxes are from LHR you might check CDG/SEA on AF or even CDG/LAX on AF or TN then LAX/YVR the other option is flying to YYZ then to YVR.........

Spainflyer--when it's time, I will take you up on the offer to CK on Iberia space. Thinking of going to Lisbon soon. Good luck with this trip!

Hi Spainflyer, I work for Air Canada and there are numerous flights from YYZ to YVR everyday. I wouldn't imagine it being a problem getting on one of those flights. I've never heard of an embargo on new routes before, so I don't think there would be one. Keep me posted....

i Will... as soon as I know the dates, I will go to the tocket counter and I will buy my zeds... As i will not know the loads, Im going to buy as many tickets as routes I can do it...
Can I ask you about loads and passengers listed on my flights the previous days??
Thanks
