Hi Guys,
I am considering a trip to LAX (from Australia) for the first week of June. I have checked the loads, and there are still a few seats available, however I am worried about school vacation in the US. After a google search, I am still a bit confused when this actually begins.
Can anyone shine some light on this? I am worried such vacation will result in the sale of what seats are left.
Also, has anyone had any experience with airline industry rates at the Disneyland Resort?
Thanks in advance,
JD

Most Universities finish early in May. Elementary through High Schools usually finish the last week in May or first week in June.

JD if I understand you correctly, you want to know when US schools start summer break because of its possible effect on flight loads.
Frankly I don't think you have to worry, US families usually plan their trips to Australia well in advance. http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...DIR#>/wink.gif The LAX/SYD loads are pretty well set two weeks out, what will give you fits are those last minute non-revs. http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif
Disneyland Info - To get the most bang for your buck go for the mulit-day park hopper pass, good for Disneyland & California Adventure.

Thanks guys, that was exactly the information I was looking for.
Migflanker, I was thinking the same with most families booking their long-haul trip a long way in advance. Also, most last minute business travellers tend to persuade their employer to pay for business class on such a long 15 hour flight.
At the moment its looking great with little staff booked on these flights, so fingers crossed it stays that way. I guess worst case I always have other options via AKL, SYD or BNE to get back.
Thanks again guys http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif

JD where are you? What happened? Did you make it out of Sydney? Did you visit LA (I didn't see you and I looked)
What happened! http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...#>/biggrin.gif

Hi guys,
Yes, I did finally make it to LA without too much hassle in the end http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...IR#>/smile.gif
Also hired a car with the Alamo code without any problems at all, and drove all over between LA and San Diego http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...IR#>/smile.gif Interestingly the receipt from this rental listed the rate code as UK to USA Travel Industry, or something similar to that affect.
I was planning on posting my success here earlier, but haven't had a chance these last couple of weeks to do anything other than work and sleep.
Thanks again for all your help guys http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e...IR#>/smile.gif With a bit of luck I'm hoping to make it back to the states in the next couple of months.
