Happy New Year from ATL!!

What a year 2012 has been! This world of aviation that we all cherish so deeply can be a freaking mess sometimes! Huge understatement btw.
Anyway, hopefully 2013 is good to everyone, and I hope you all have a safe and healthy year!

Wishing all a happy and healthy New Year! We still have snow here in KY. I've been mindful of my family who make my life special every day and those who have passed, that helped make me who I am today. I am grateful for their lessons and those gifts are always better than any holiday "present". Due to their wonderful strengths and investments, I inherited a bountiful travel fund (if Obama and the Dems don't get too much of it!).
What are your travel goals for 2013?
I have 3 undated trips on tap:
Unknown getaway to someplace warm end of Jan (Mexico?)
Foz do Iguacu, Brasil
Bangkok and maybe more Thailand or Siem Reap
China is always available now that I have a visa for the year--the world's me erster (not sure why I'm on this Popeye kick?)
Where are you flyin' fools going this year?
-
I have to look into the visa details for Tibet. I haven't had time lately, but I'm hoping to take a little trip there around May-ish. Looks like I can r/t to China in J for about 150K miles
2012 was the first time in 6 years that I flew less mileage than the prior year (though it was still just about 300K). I hope to continue that trend in 2013 and spend more time at home with friends and family

Happy New Year everyone! We don't have a ton of plans for the year yet. I'm planning on checking a box on my bucket list by going to the Fairbanks Ice Festival this year and I want to see some of the amazing sights in my own state and Utah in April (things I've never taken the time to see before) then we are heading to Sitka to fish in June. After that it will be the usual MA for the 4th and going to St. Thomas for Thanksgiving. Hubby will go back to Alaska to fish again in August with some buddies. Basically, not much happening with us for the year quite yet but I want to try my hand at nonrevving outside of North America for the first time this year. Been with Alaska for nearly 16 years and have never taken the leap across the pond (probably because I lived in Europe for 4 years) as a nonrev.
