Can't go nowhere, out of vacation time and beefing up on the overtime. Still a couple of months away before I can get my 5 weeks vacation. I seemed to have gone through it faster this year than the past.

Man, I would be in heaven if I had 5 (or even 4) weeks of vacation. I thought I was doing pretty well when my job offered me 2 weeks, but when you can't do any shift trades on a salaried desk job like you can on the ramp or what have you, it doesn't go as far. Especially when your friends and family are all 1000 miles away, so you have to use all your vacation time to go back home.
If I'm lucky, I'll get a promotion in the next year or two. If I'm REALLY lucky, I can negotiate more vacation time with HR at that point.
That's 5 weeks vacation after 17 yrs. I too started at 2 weeks. And then there is the week of "Floaters" negotiated by our friendly neighborhood Union.
I wish we had a week of those floating holidays - we (nonrepresented, as you'd probably guess) get one for our birthday, and that's it :(
