DEN Has Best WiFi in the US...

Denver International Airport (DIA) has the fastest Wi-Fi out of the top seven busiest airports in the US, according to data from Wefi, the mobile data analytics company.

According to the study, the average speed at DIA is 4.73 Mbps beating out ATL, ORD, DFW, LAX, JFK and SFO.

Since 2007, DIA has provided public Internet access throughout the airport, and A, B and C gates.
Increased use of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops by the traveling public required upgrades to the underlying infrastructure to ensure DIA's commitment to providing an exceptional passenger experience.
In 2014, DIA completed an upgrade to the public Wi-Fi infrastructure that serves the concourses.

The effort included a $1 million upgrade of the wireless access points, antennas, controllers and switches to new, state-of-the-art Wi-Fi technology.

The upgrade to the public Wi-Fi in Jeppesen Terminal is underway and scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter in 2016.

DIA will be investing an additional $2.5 million in upgrades throughout the entire airport this year.

“The demand for Wi-Fi technology in our facility has grown exponentially over the years,” said DIA’s chief information officer Robert Kastelitz.

“Investing in upgraded infrastructure is key to continuously improving the airport experience for those who travel through this airport.

"We offered Wi-fi since 2007, and these upgrades, which increase bandwidth, offer an even more robust experience for passengers. The best part about it is that it’s easy to access and it’s free.”
The upgrade in 2014 increased the capacity of the infrastructure, while reducing congestion on access points in concourse locations with heavy passenger traffic

I believe it! It was a little congested a few years ago, but lately when I fly and hop on the wifi before my flight leaves, wifi has been incredibly usable. I usually forget I'm at an airport!
