Hey,
So in my ID90/ZED it lists QF LAX-JFK as being able to ZED on. Can you? Where do you check in? International terminal? Anyone have any experience doing this?

I highly doubt that's actually possible. As an Australian carrier, QF does not have rights to transport passengers on that route. Not sure about nonrevenue, but I doubt they'd have a check-in counter open for a few nonrevs.
From the research I've done (although I haven't found much and I don't know if it's credible, which is why I'm asking for experiences here) people have been able to non-rev, but again, the info is few and far between.
I never tried it myself but you could try it on JFK-LAX if you buy a JFK-LAX and LAX-SYD zed then just refund the LAX-SYD portion after you get to LAX. You are required to get off the plane in LAX even in the unlikely event they clear you all the way to SYD from JFK.
if there are no published fares on QF for this route you cannot.
