Can anyone give me some ideas about what it is like non-revving on Aerolineas Argentinas. I might very well try flying them MIA - EZE. Any suggestions on when to go, and how good their service is? I don't mind going off season to help ensure light flight loads. Also, if I do try this route, who is good to have a backup ZED pass on? I've heard amazing things about Buenos Aires and it doesn't hurt that my wife speaks Spanish.
I tried that scene once about some 6 years ago or so when I went to Argentina. None of those Argentinian airlines had any kind of agreement with us. I doubt that they do. Their fares are quite pricey too. Like 400 bucks to go from Buenos Aires to Mendoza. No discount or ID-90 or any of that through those airlines. Things might have changed, but I seriously doubt it.
Can anyone comment on their non rev experience on Aerolineas Argentinas or LATAM? It's been a while since these last posts. Going to Argentina in February/March and want to see if we can non rev from BA to Mendoza and back instead of paying $400/person.
We did flts from BsAs to Iguazu Falls via Jorge Newbery city airport on zeds. Our zeds were about $40 each I think. I would guess that Mendoza is a very popular destination but has several flts/day. I posted about the fantastic apt we rented in Recoleta. Feel free to PM if you need any info.
I nonrevved on LATAM (although when I went they were called LAN Argentina) between BsAs and both Iguazu and Mendoza. No problems at all and had decent service for domestic. When asking the taxi driver to take you to the airport, they refer to the domestic airport Jorge Newbery as 'Aeroparque'. The driver did not know what I was talking about when I asked him to take me to Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery but eventually figured it out. On the way back from Mendoza, we decided to take a bus to Santiago, Chile and fly back from there. Was a very scenic ride driving across the Andes. It was also a quick easy transfer in Santiago to catch the airport bus.
