Zed Fare problems
Hi!
I work for American, but I zed fare often on United. It was easy when we had paper zed fare tickets, but since moving to electronic tkts, it's been a nightmare! I've done it twice and both times I had to wait over an hour for the tkt agent to figure out how to check me in. I buy the ticket and list myself properly and my reservation shows up on their system, but they just can't check me in. The second time I even called the day before my flight to double check that everything looked okay. They said it looked great, but when I showed up the next morning, I almost missed my flight since they couldn't figure out how to check me in.
Does anyone have any idea what I or the tkt agents are doing wrong? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated! :)
Thanks!

Have you ever tried checking in online? It's a breeze for employees, haven't heard much from OALs before...

Yep. That's why I called in to see if my ticket was ok. I heard that I would be able to check in online, but I wasn't able to. Would the fact that I was flying with a lap child make a difference?

Did you create a listing using the id90 website after you purchased your ezed on myidtravel and then use the id90 issued pnr # to try and check-in online? I've traveled on US & DL using electronic zeds purchased on my idtravel from jetnet and have never had a problem. I've only used a zed on UA once but that was when they still had paper zeds.
I believe the lap child only becomes an issue for international travel in which case, you need to check-in with an agent. Still, it should not take an hour.

That might have been part of my problem, but I had to have the ANA agent make the listing for me. Then, THEY couldn't figure out how to turn that into a ticket. I have to say I was pretty annoyed (ok, pissed!)
