UA to Add Growth in SFO/DEN, Scales Back IAH.

Executives at United Airlines are signaling plans to add capacity in DEN— where United already is the leading carrier — and SFO as it scales back growth plans at another hub, IAH.

Meanwhile, in Houston — where the energy-focused economy has been hammered by slumping oil and gas prices — United has dialed back on previous plans to grow capacity by 2 percent this year and instead projects flat growth.

Earlier this month, United announced plans to add two nonstop destinations from DIA — RIC and BDL, in April. Richmond currently does not have a nonstop flight from Denver.
United now serves 125 nonstop destinations across the U.S. from DEN
“We are extremely pleased that United continues to add more nonstop destinations from its Denver hub,” airport CEO Kim Day said at the time.
