After BA which is direct, as we can only use one world, the next best 2 options are CX, and MH, MH will not allow though check in, Cx will allow as long as there are i think its 30+ seats, we flew bkk/kul/lhr with MH earlier this year , the service was very good with the A380, but the collecting bags and re-checking in was a bit of a nightmare with only a one and a quarter hour stop over, something the wife with English as a second language would struggle with. Cx is fine i traveled with them last trip to bkk and again was very good, its my stepsons home airline so we can book business class with them, but all flights are so busy even with the 5 plus flights on both legs daily, the thing with BA is once your on the one flight a day, your on and no other flights to worry about. as i posted I am quiet happy to use MH or CX as the messing around is worth the effort, but for the wife on her own its a little daunting, and oneway paid for tickets to bkk are almost the same is not dearer than a return.
