I have a buddy at the ATL Jet Base. He told me they don't have to "punch" in. The NW guys think they're in heaven.

I was really late answering your dig. Sorry I was busy.I find your personal "Mr" offensive (unless you actually did intend it and it was a typo, which I doubt due to your clever writing abilities, but if so, I apologize then, because we all screw up our typing now and then, Psalms) as well as your reference to me being "DEPENDENT". I can tell you that prior to marrying my husband, I supported thousands of airlineL employees as a REVENUE passenger for over 25 years. AA, US, CO, DL, UA--probably purchased more $100,000 of full fare tickets, as well as PeopleExpress (in my lean days before I made 6 figures a year....). I can also tell you my family spent over $11,000 buying full fare tickets to attend my dying father's bedside this past week--several on Continental Airlines via your current hometown, as well as DL via NYC, FLA ORF, etc...Guess I'm hardly the "dependent" here.
Cj is very capable of defending her statements--she did quite well and I understood. We each had our points to make. MrPalms, if there is problem with me not being an EMPLOYEE of an airline, perhaps you need to address that with the admin. If you want to continue to take me to task privately, there is a function for that.
    Keep writing your stories.

I'm glad this discussion has been very lively. Thanks for everyones imput and opinion. Lets keep them coming. I continue to work with dl and have made some really good friends there. The management in our station really needs some communication training. We need more redcoat/pl meetings. I have not seen the station manager in a very long time. I think that management should be very visable especially when there are irops involved. I look forward to more opinions.

We had the pleasure of visiting DTW and that terminal was about as lively as this forum! Staff we encountered was great. Coming from CVG, which has closed all but one concourse, it was quite a change. Guess it works both ways in a "merger" so much staff has left for "greener" pastures (had to, to stay with DL) Maybe you'll get some new folks to supplement (replace?) yours. Are you in SEA?

Mrs767er. Correct. That part was a typo. (MR) No mal intentions intended there. Insulting people is not my bag. And for that, my apologies. Your being a dependent is not a problem on these boards. Refering to a person here as sounding like a whiner just sounded a bit hard coming from someone not quite "Familiar" with the situation. You called it the way you saw it and I called it the way I saw it, so all is fair in love of war. Don't be mad.

Can everyone stop complaining about something they clearly can't control. Maybe if everyone stopped complaining and did their jobs with pride we would actually have a chance at the JD power

Is that the thing that looks like a little button or pins that you put on your hat that the airlines like to boast about for customer service? JD POWER AWARD? I saw something like that at BIG LOTS the other day, something about that award on some product. I just cry some big crockadile tears everytime we miss that marker. I wake up many sleepless nights wondering if we will make the JD POWER list this year. I think I got a JD POWER pin or two kicking around the house somewhere.

Palms, considering you isolated that part of my comment and quoted it out of context, I have plenty of reason to be unhappy with your personal attack about being "dependent". Guess you didn't read it correctly. I can forgive your error.

However, we're afraid that "time clocks" will appear now that the current regime is very much supported by the unions!
