I don't think I could do this job unless I had flt benefits. I make a good living but the free flts are the major perk we all work for. I feel for you dtwskp.
It took me 24 years to get on with DL. Then I had a great 12 years before retiring. And now, it's non-rev time. (except in the Summer).
I am hoping to have about another 10 years with them. At least I don't feel totally lost anymore. The system is still totally maddening but I have been spending lots of time at the gates where I feel much more at home. I have never liked the counter as I find it very boring and the drags so much when I am there. I love the pace at the gates and I am getting pretty good there I hope. Also don't mind bagland too much as Dl adopted fasttrack and I have been using that for a couple of years. There are still a lot of things that need to be worked out but I think if we ever get around to the union vote, weather it be yea or nea, we will be better off. There is too juch of a power struggle at our station and the pmnw sups feel very left out. I for one still do not have a key to the redcoat office and despite asking many time keepgetting the runaround. The pmnw sups don't have access to the coomen drive so we can't get to the schedules and have to let the dl redcoats do whatever they want with them. Just things we should be able to work out but have not been able to yet. But tah being said it is slowly getting better.
