Hi all!
Has anyone flown to Cape Town on British Airways using a Zed fare? My friend and I will be doing that in April. Our first trip to South Africa. I'm nervous about the Zed fare because I have no back-up plan (or rather, no back-up plane). I work for American Airlines, and my friend is my Registered Companion, which limits our airline choices. Anybody have any suggestions, in case Plan A falls apart? Thanks!

what about AF to CDG or LH to FRA?
BA flies JNB, and elsewhere as opposed to CPT options
Jacy--did you do your homework? (sorry I couldn't resist!!)
what about the train (seat61.com) to JNB?
more info on flights in Africa

My registered companion can't fly at a discounted rate on Air France. I don't even know if I can, they're not in our alliance group.

I also found afriqiyah.com for flights within SA, if that helps, too
Can your companion fly LH?
like the new avatar--so mysterious

No, my registered companion can't fly on Lufthansa, unfortunately. Trust me, I've done my homework. I was just hoping I missed something.

so--did you find some options to fly BA to JNB and go from there to BA destination? does that work?

We will use JNB as a back-up in case we can't go directly to CPT. I think that's our only other option. http://www.nonrev.net/forums/style_e..._DIR#>/sad.gif

It’s the wiser choice.
Don’t forget to arrive early at Cape Town airport. It’s a bit messy for the non rev PAX...but I think you guys will be alright.
Enjoy the city. Beautiful…!
