The Chinese pax are far worse than gate lice--they are a swarm of killer bees! I guess since they can't rebel against Mao and Company, they tried the next best thing [@Xinzheng]. Not such an exceptional occurrence, apparently.
I understand the separation for landing at PEK is 10 miles. Gate slots are a huge problem I also heard someone say the Chinese are the worst controllers. Gotta love NRT--ground workers line up at departure gates and salute the flight (at least at DL)--quite a sight.
