    Default Rgiii

Well, they kept him in the game too long. Bad call I thought. Should have pulled RGIII out after he reinjured his knee. Don't understand why Shanahan kept him in. I thought they were doing all right into the fourth quarter leading by a point, but they couldn't stop Seattle with 3rd and long, that iced it. Then the fumble by RGIII inside the 20. Should have placed Cousins in his place a quarter back. End result, Redskins are out!!! Two predictions I made resulted in injured quarterbacks losing their games. PONDER and RGIII.

I'm still a little ticked off about Shanahan keeping RGIII in the game after he was limping around. I understand RGIII is a stud and wanted to play but I felt he got too greedy, wanted to win the game all by himself, and Shanahan gave into this young guy whom is on shady ground now with two constructive surgeries all ready at only 22 years of age on the same knee. Shanahan risked wrecking this man's career over a playoff game. What are back up quarterbacks for? I'm still ticked over this. I was yelling at the screen to throw in Cousins to try and perserve the win, and keep the ball away from Seattle. They were winning up untill middle of the fourth quarter, but RGIII and SHANAHAN had to have it their way. I hope RGIII is done just because of that. I hope Cousins takes over. I lost all respect for the quarterback and the coach on this game.
What's that? You want another prediction for next week from the 29palms guy? Ok, here's his latest.

    Ravens over Broncos
    Pats over Texans
    49ers over Green Bay
    Atlanta over Seattle

Here is where the big boys get separated. Loser watches the playoffs and superbowl from their couch. I hope RGIII and Scamahan watch in disgust!!!

Everyone picked Baltimore to lose to Denver, but I had a feeling Baltimore was going to have something for them. Manning doesn't like to play in cold weather games. His record shows it. Baltimore has a good running game with Ray Rice and Pierce. They get good in cold weather. I felt that the team was coming on strong, with everyone pretty healthy, and make no mistake about it, those Ravens are tough boys. Just checking out the Steelers and Ravens game year in and year out, you can see the bruising and injuries go haywire. They don't only tackle you. They maul you like a lion going after a heyena. Flacco is the only week link I feel, he's let alot of games go lose on him, and he was kind of lucky against Denver. I recorded the game, and watched the later quarters a few times, and noticed that he was almost picked at least 3-4 different times. But the team battled on and never quit even with that hail mary pass with seconds to go to tie it and eventually win it in double OT. Defense delivered just like the good ole days. Denver had it in the bag. That's a very tough feat to go up in altitude with a very hostile crowd in mile high city. Temperatures were below 10F with wind chill below zero. Coldest game played in Denver. They had that arctic blast on the western US this week, in fact, highs in my local never got above 38F today and I'm in Texas. So the weather was not really a factor with Baltimore and Denver, they are both cold weather football cities but for Manning, he looked like he wanted no part of it. Did you see him bury his hands in those pocket warmers? I know its tougher for a quarterback when the temps drop, but that's the way it goes in those cities in January. Gotta overcome those. Ok, so I was 4 for 4 on this football weekend. Here is my other predictions which I am sticking with....

Atlanta will LOSE to San Francisco

I take New England over Baltimore (I loved the Denver game and all that heart but the Brady bunch will prove too much up in Foxboro.)

It will be New England and the 49ers in the Superbowl. I'll make that prediction later. But that KAPERNICK guy is very scarey and leave it at that.

Who would have thought? I did think about it, but still picked New England. I mean, like going against New England in the playoffs at home is not a very good idea, but maybe it was THIS TIME AROUND. They got smoked!!! Baltimore picked them apart, the Brady bunch did not have an answer and neither do I except, THEY GOT SMOKED!!! Well done Ray Lewis and company, good luck in the Superbowl. I'll be routing for them. They both look very good and only one can be the winner. Which team that will be will depend on who plays the best on that day I suppose, because on paper, I can find reasons for either or to win the Superbowl. May the best team win. EAST COAST EAST COAST HOOO HOO HOO!!!
